Shaily Jha is an Indian-origin artist and IT professional based in New Jersey, USA, whose work is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Indian folk art. Originally from Ranchi, Jharkhand, she grew up surrounded by the vibrant artistic heritage of her family, where the women practiced Mithila (Madhubani) painting. This early exposure inspired a lifelong passion for preserving and celebrating India's indigenous art forms. Formally trained in both fine arts and traditional Mithila painting, Shaily has expanded her practice to include other celebrated folk art traditions such as Sohrai, Khovar, Paitkar, and Manjusha. Her work skillfully blends the symbolism, storytelling, and intricate techniques of these ancient traditions with contemporary artistic expression, creating pieces that honor cultural heritage while connecting with modern audiences.

Shaily's artworks have been exhibited at distinguished venues, including the U.S. Consulate, the United Nations Headquarters, and numerous art festivals across the United States.
